Index coverage
The IESQ index contains 53,361 distinct reference strings after exact reference normalisation. A combined base-and-amendment reference remains a source-listed string. Identical references can have several source records.
- CEN and CENELEC publisher links: 50,146 source rows
- ETSI publisher links: 3,245 source rows
- Commission reference lists: 5,449 source rows
These sets overlap and have different scopes. They are not an official count of all European standards. Publisher collections also contain documents outside the indexed product and legislation references. Source access date: 19 October 2026.
ETSI's recorded “Published” status does not establish that a version is the latest. Commission summaries may have been generated before the access date. Each reference page retains the source's dates where supplied.
Using an official link
Reference pages link to a publisher's exact record where available, or to the Commission source that lists the reference. Official catalogue entries identify the publisher's available editions and access arrangements. IESQ does not host standard texts.
Use the complete official scope, amendments and legal references for an assessment. The site research is original analysis of application and evidence; it does not substitute for a standard's requirements.
