People

For a specific document, person or reference, contact the Institute.

People and responsibilities

The people directory identifies individuals through their appointed role and the work for which they are responsible. Professional experience is attributed to the individual concerned; it does not establish the Institute's age, statutory powers or organisational credentials.

Governance

Governance profiles identify the office held, the appointment basis and responsibilities within the governing structure. A person's other affiliations are stated in the context of their own role and do not imply that those organisations endorse the Institute.

Management and administration

Management and administrative roles concern the coordination of work, public enquiries, membership, learning and institutional records. The contact route for a function is separate from a person's private contact information.

Technical responsibility

Technical profiles explain the subjects and tasks within an individual's appointment. An appointment for one field is not a general authority to assess every product or approve every technical output.

Professional background

Profiles distinguish qualifications, employment history, publications and participation in external technical work. Where an external organisation is named, the nature and period of the individual's involvement are relevant to the description.

Read a profile

An individual profile brings together the role, relevant professional background and authorised links to work undertaken. Current appointments are distinguished from earlier contributions, and only information approved for public use is included.

Contact by function

For a business question, use the relevant Institute contact route. Give the subject and, where applicable, the programme, publication or project reference. This allows the enquiry to be directed without disclosing personal contact details.
