Programme directory
A programme is a defined set of requirements and procedures for a particular object and result. Use this directory to identify the appropriate route rather than treating every assessment as a general certification service.
Find by object
Search or filter by the subject of assessment and the result required. Product, process, organisation, personnel and learning records have different meanings. An industry label alone is not sufficient to establish applicability.
Programme summaries
Each programme entry identifies its purpose, intended applicants and result type. The summary leads to the full programme information, including the applicable criteria and the body responsible for the decision and issue of the result.
Understand the result
Before applying, establish what the result demonstrates, who may rely on it and the conditions on its use. A result limited to one object or site does not extend to the applicant's other products or activities.
Eligibility and scope
Eligibility is assessed against the particular programme. The application must identify the object and evidence needed for scope review. Some requests may fall outside the programme even where the applicant operates in a related sector.
Rules and edition
The programme record identifies the current criteria, rules and relevant dates. Transition arrangements explain how changes affect applications or issued results. An old downloaded copy should be checked against the current record.
Read the full programme
Programme details bring together the process, evidence requirements, fees, result conditions and routes for complaint or appeal. Read the full information before making claims about what the programme provides.
Ask about applicability
Give the programme reference, the object concerned and the intended use of the result. If no clear route applies, describe the requirement so that its suitability can be considered.
