Applicable programme and edition
These provisions are read with the particular programme's criteria, rules and agreed terms. The programme identifies its scope, owner, responsible delivery body and result. A general overview does not extend the programme to other objects or activities.
Application and agreement
The applicant must identify the object accurately and provide information necessary for scope and capability review. Work is commissioned under agreed terms. Acceptance of an application does not assure a favourable result.
Criteria and evaluation
Evaluation uses the references and methods identified for the assignment. Sampling, evidence selection and any site or testing activities follow the applicable arrangements. A conclusion cannot be extended beyond the object and scope evaluated.
Information and access
Applicants provide accurate, relevant information and the access required by the agreed procedure. Material restrictions, changes or misleading information can affect the ability to complete the work or maintain a result. Confidential information is handled within the applicable arrangements.
Review, decision and issue
Findings and supporting information proceed through the review and decision stages required by the programme. Only the authorised function may make and issue the decision. Result documents identify the issuer, object, criteria, scope and relevant dates.
Continuing obligations and changes
The holder observes conditions on claims, access and information. Changes affecting the object, ownership, location, process or other material basis of the result must be addressed through the programme. Renewal or surveillance applies where specified.
Suspension, withdrawal and expiry
Programme rules determine when a result is suspended, withdrawn, reduced in scope or allowed to expire. The decision identifies its effective date and consequences. A holder must stop or amend affected claims and mark use as required by that decision.
Fees and payment
Charges follow the agreed scope and terms, including any justified additional work. A payment does not decide conformity. Financial and technical issues are handled without representing the purchase of a favourable conclusion.
Complaints and appeals
Dissatisfaction with service or conduct follows the complaints procedure. An eligible challenge to a decision follows the appeals procedure, including the conditions and period applicable to that decision.
Use the complete rules
Read the programme-specific text before applying or making a claim. Give the programme reference and object when asking about applicability or an issued result.
